Editorial policy

Sources we use

1. Official registers and regulators, where they exist.
2. Pages published by independent event organisers, conferences and venues.
3. The organisation's and people's own channels, such as Luma calendars, profiles and posts, treated as self-declared.
4. Interviews and media articles, with their publication date.
5. Archived pages in the Internet Archive, marked as historical.

We do not rely on AI-generated answers, search snippets on their own, anonymous posts or directories that do not name their sources. We open each source before citing it and record the date we checked it.

Status labels

• Confirmed Shown by a source independent of the person or organisation, or directly observable in the cited record.
• Self-declared Stated by the person or organisation about themselves (profile, event page, biography).
• Historical Was stated or true at an earlier date; may not describe the present.
• Disputed Sources disagree; the conflicting source is noted.
• Unconfirmed Could not be confirmed in the sources reviewed; shown only with this label.

Event listings are announcements. We write "listed on Luma" or "announced", not "took place", unless another source shows that an event happened. Titles people give themselves are reported as their own description.

What we do not publish

• Phone numbers, private addresses, contact cards or personal contact forms taken from event pages or profiles.
• Registration or guest counts, guest lists and referral links.
• Photos of people, or logos and images from EcoX or other organisations.
• Reviews, ratings or rankings copied from other platforms.
• Claims we could not source, except where we clearly say that something could not be confirmed.
• Accounts or relationships whose connection to the people covered here is not established.

Dates

Each page shows when it was first published, when its content last changed and when its sources were last checked. We change the update date only when the content changes.

Corrections

Send corrections through the contact form and choose "Correction". Please name the page and the statement, and link to a source if you have one. We aim to reply within 7 days. When a correction is accepted, we update the page and its update date and, where the change is significant, add a note describing it.

Takedown requests

People covered on this site, and EcoX, can ask us to remove or change content through the contact form by choosing "Takedown". We review each request within 7 days. We remove personal information that is not needed to describe a public role, correct statements that sources do not support, and explain our decision when we keep content that documents public activity. Nothing in this process limits any legal right you have.

Advertising and independence

Advertisements are selected by the publisher and appear after the independence notice, between sections and at the end of a page, never inside a paragraph, a list of sources or an event listing, always with an "Advertisement" label. Advertisers and the people covered here do not review or approve editorial content. See the advertising disclosure.

Tools

Research and drafting are assisted by software, including AI tools. Statements are published only when they are linked to a source that has been opened and checked.
