Who is responsible

The site is run by an independent publisher that is not EcoX. You can reach the publisher through the contact form.

Visit statistics

When a page loads, and when an ad is shown or clicked, the browser sends a short event to our own server. Each event contains:

• the event type (page view, ad impression, ad click or click on a source link);
• the page path, for example /events/;
• a coarse referrer class: search engine, AI assistant, other website or none (the referring address itself is not stored);
• for ads, the project, ad version and placement;
• whether the request looks like an automated crawler, based on the browser's user-agent string (the string itself is not stored);
• whether the page was opened on ecox.pro or on a temporary test address;
• the time of the event.

Events contain no IP address, cookie, device identifier or account. They cannot be linked to a person. We keep them for 13 months and then delete them.

Country lookup for ads

Some ads may only be shown in certain countries or, in the United States, certain states. To decide, our server looks up the country of your IP address, and for US addresses the state, in databases stored on the server itself (derived from IP Geolocation by DB-IP, licensed under CC BY 4.0). The IP address is used only in memory for that lookup and, for a few minutes, to limit repeated form submissions and automated requests. This site does not store or log it, and the country and state are not stored either. If they cannot be determined, the ad space shows an ad without such restrictions.

Contact form

If you send a message, we store the type of request, your message, the page address you give and, if you provide it, your email address, so that we can handle and answer your request. The site owner receives a notification with the same details through the hosting platform. Messages are kept for up to 24 months and then deleted, unless a longer period is needed to deal with a legal claim.

Hosting

The site is hosted on Manus. Like any hosting provider, it processes technical data such as IP addresses to deliver pages and protect the service, under its own policies. Fonts are served from our own server, and no scripts are loaded from other websites.

Links to other websites

Links to sources and advertisers lead to websites with their own privacy practices. Ad links add campaign parameters described in the advertising disclosure.

Your rights

Depending on where you live, you may have the right to access, correct or delete personal data about you, and to object to its use. Contact us through the contact form. People covered on this site can also use the takedown procedure. You may also complain to your data protection authority.
