Crypto Mondays in Dubai: EcoX Monday meetups and CryptoMondays MENA
"Crypto Mondays Dubai" can mean two different things: the Monday-evening networking meetups on the EcoX calendar, which have used several names, or CryptoMondays, a global meetup community that launched a MENA chapter in 2026. This page separates the two using public event listings and the organisers' own pages.

Short answer
- EcoX's Luma calendar lists Monday-evening meetups in Dubai since a kick-off on 26 May 2025, described as "every Monday" from June 2025.[2] Not every Monday has a listing, and the series name has changed several times.
- CryptoMondays describes itself as a decentralised global community that began as a New York Meetup in 2018 and has chapters in more than 60 cities.[6]
- A CryptoMondays MENA chapter launch was listed for 28 September 2026, with CryptoMondays HQ and Lou Kerner among the organisers and "Ecox Dubai" among the supporters.[11] The chapter's LinkedIn page says it is led by Vaibhavv Ali and lists EcoX Dubai as an event partner.[12]
- We found no CryptoMondays page that names EcoX, Jorge Sebastiao or Franco Fiore as leads of a CryptoMondays chapter. Most EcoX Monday listings do not use the CryptoMondays name.

The table groups the 47 past Monday-evening listings in Dubai on EcoX's public calendar[1] by the name used in their titles. Counts are ours, from the calendar snapshot of 13 October 2026. A listing is an announcement, not proof that an event took place.

What CryptoMondays is
CryptoMondays presents itself as a decentralised community of local meetups.[6] Its home page invites people to start a new chapter if their city is not listed, and does not describe a licence or approval process.[7] In 2018, Lou Kerner wrote that people had asked about starting Crypto Mondays in 15 cities, Dubai among them.[8] In 2023 he wrote that CryptoMondays Dubai, then hosted by Gaurav Dubey, CEO of TDMM, was the 31st chapter he had visited.[9] That account does not show who has run a Dubai chapter since.
CryptoMondays MENA and EcoX
- 2 February 2026. The EcoX calendar listed "CryptoMondays Dubai" at Scandal Dubai, with EcoX's co-founders among the organisers. Its description calls Lou Kerner the founder of CryptoMondays.[10] The following weeks were listed as "BitCoin Mondays".
- 28 September 2026. A "CryptoMondays Mena Chapter Launch" listing named CryptoMondays HQ, Lou Kerner, Franco Fiore, Jorge Sebastiao, Vaibhavv Ali and Crypto Mondays Mena as organisers, and EcoX Dubai as one of several supporters.[11]
- 5 October 2026. The EcoX calendar listed "CryptoMondays MENA: Shaping the Future of Web3 & Digital Assets" at Tacenda Lounge, described as hosted by Minds by Animoca Brands.[13]
- 13 October 2026. CryptoMondays' own calendar listed a CryptoMondays MENA event on a Tuesday at Grand Millennium, Barsha Heights, so chapter events are not always on Mondays or at the EcoX venue.[14]
The chapter's LinkedIn page names Vaibhavv Ali as its lead and EcoX Dubai as a partner.[12] In short, EcoX appears as a partner and co-organiser of some CryptoMondays MENA events, while its weekly Monday meetups run under its own names.
Bitcoin Mondays, Blockchain Mondays and Cryptonite UAE
From February to May 2026 EcoX titled its Monday meetups "BitCoin Mondays", and some listings say they are presented with CryptoNite UAE; Eventbrite also attributes BitCoin Mondays and BlockChain Mondays listings to EcoX.[15] Cryptonite UAE describes itself as an independent digital-asset news and analysis publication.[16] The listings spell the partner's name in several ways, and we have not confirmed that they all refer to one organisation.
Not to be confused with
Money Monday Dubai is a separately branded Monday networking series; its page says it is brought by Adel Bhurtun and co-hosted by BrandPR.[17] We found no link between it and EcoX.
Before you go
- Open the current Luma listing: names, venues and start times change, and some listings require approval.
- Check who the hosts are on the listing itself rather than relying on a series name.
- Pitches and sponsored talks are promotion, not endorsements.
